USE CASE

Show music on stream

Place the song display in your scene. Track changes update automatically; the widget hides when paused or in a private session.

01

Title, artist and artwork

Show the song title and artists. Hide artwork, progress and time information as needed.

02

A design for your scene

Choose Minimal, Card or Neon and customize colors, font and spacing. The recommended source size is 800 × 240 pixels.

03

One connection for multiple widgets

All music widgets in your account share one Spotify connection. The display does not transmit music or control playback.

Requirements

You need a verified Cuewerk account, your own Spotify app with an allowlisted account, and streaming software with browser sources.

The widget and all three templates are free. An account includes up to 20 widgets and 100 MB of media storage.

How do I connect Spotify?

Create your own app in the Spotify Developer Dashboard. Add the redirect URI shown under Connections, enter the client ID in Cuewerk and authorize Spotify access. No client secret is needed.

Do I need Spotify Premium?

The owner of a Spotify app in development mode needs Spotify Premium. The Spotify account you use must be allowlisted for your app. Spotify's access and request limits apply.

What happens when playback pauses or the connection fails?

The display hides when playback is paused or unavailable, during private sessions and for unsupported content. Without fresh data it disappears within 15 seconds. Check the dashboard for details.

Does the widget also work with YouTube?

Spotify is currently supported. Support for other music services is planned but not yet available.
